残念ながら、今日はとても悔しい結果に終わりました。チームにとって貴重なポイントを獲得できる絶好の機会でしたが、ピットストップが長引く不運も重なり、有望だった戦略が崩れてしまいました。これもレースですし、こういうことは起こり得るので仕方ありません。コンストラクターズ選手権ではまだ争える位置にいるだけに、ポイントを逃したのは本当に悔しいですが、ポジティブな面を持ち帰りたいと思います。スタートでは今回も最大限を引き出して2つポジションを上げることができ、ミディアムタイヤでのスティントも安定して走れました。第1スティントではマックスとの差もそれほど大きくなく、チームに加入してから最も良いロングランペースを見せられたと思います。レースの流れは思うようにいきませんでしたが、これまで通り全力で挑み続けます。
Unfortunately, today’s result is very disappointing. It was a great opportunity for the team to score some valuable points, but we were unlucky with a prolonged pit stop and our promising strategy was ruined. This is racing, and these things happen, so it can’t be helped. We’re still in contention for the Constructors’ Championship, so it’s disappointing to miss out on some points, but I’ll take the positives home with me. I made the most of my start again today, making up two positions, and I was able to run a consistent stint on the medium tyres. In the first stint, the gap to Max wasn’t too big, and I think I showed the best long-run pace I’ve had since joining the team. The race didn’t go as planned, but I’ll continue to give it my all, as I have in the past.
