スプリント 予選18位 / 決勝13位
今日は正直、フラストレーションの多い一日でした。スプリントでは、予選に向けてチームとして重要なデータを得るため、これまでとは違うアプローチを試しました。ピットレーンスタートだったので多くのポジションを上げるのは難しかったですが、そのデータは予選に向けてとても有益でした。スプリントから予選にかけてセットアップを変更し、少しでも良い方向に持っていけるようにしました。その結果、クルマの感触は良くなり、確かに前進できたと感じました。ただ、その変更によって新たな課題も生まれてしまい、特にグリップ不足が問題になりました。こうしたコンディションの中ではタイヤをうまく温められず、特に第1セクターで苦戦しました。せっかくポジティブな変化を得られたのに、それを最大限に活かせなかったのは残念です。明日は最後尾スタートですが、できる限り前に上がれるよう全力を尽くします。
Honestly, today was a frustrating day. We tried a different approach in the sprint to gather important data for the team ahead of qualifying. Starting from the pit lane made it difficult to gain many positions, but the data we gained was very useful heading into qualifying. We made some setup changes between the sprint and qualifying to try to improve things a little. As a result, the car felt better and I definitely felt like we made progress. However, those changes also created new challenges, particularly a lack of grip. In these conditions, we struggled to warm up the tires properly, especially in the first sector. It’s disappointing that we weren’t able to make the most of the positive changes we’d made. Tomorrow, we’ll start from the back of the grid, but we’ll do our best to move up as far as possible.

今週末は私にとって難しい週末でした。チームとして様々なことを試しましたが、上手くいったものもあれば上手くいかなかったものもありました。ハードタイヤで良いスタートを切り、セーフティカーが出る前にポジションをいくつか上げることができました。しかし残念ながらランス・ストロールと接触してしまいペナルティを受けなければならなくなり、今日は良い結果を出すのが非常に難しくなりました。（ペナルティをちゃんと消化出来なかったため）追加の10秒ピットストップも影響しました。諦めるつもりはありませんし最後のスティントでは良いペースを見せました。ここからシーズン終了まで自分のパフォーマンスを最大限に発揮できるよう引き続き全力を尽くします。マックスにも感謝の気持ちを伝えたいと思います。彼は素晴らしい走りを見せ、チームのためにコンストラクターズポイントを獲得してくれました。
The whole weekend has been a difficult one for myself. We tried lots of things as a Team, some which worked and others that didn’t. I had a good start to the race on the Hard tyre and made up a couple of positions before using the safety car to pit early. Unfortunately, there was contact with Lance and I had to serve a penalty which made it really tricky to have a positive result today, the extra pitstop also hurt us. I’m not throwing anything away, and in the last stint I showed good pace. I’ll continue to do what I can to maximise from here until the end of the season. Credit to Max also, it was an incredible drive from him and he scored some great points for the Team in the Constructors.
