スプリント 予選18位 / 決勝11位
今日は一筋縄にはいきませんでしたが、スプリントらしい日でした。スプリント予選(SQ)1中のトラックリミット違反と無線について、チームには申し訳ないと思っています。スプリント・シュートアウトでは十分にパフォーマンスを発揮できず、とても残念でした。スプリントについては、特に1周目は風の影響が強くて難しかったですが、データ収集のため、安全に走りきることに集中しました。明日に向けて、多くのことを学べました。明日はポイント圏内に近い位置からスタートできるので、気持ちを切り替え、全力を尽くすように努めます。トラックリミットには気をつけなくてはいけないし、タイヤのマネジメントも大きな課題になりそうですが、できる限り力を尽くし、ポイント獲得を狙います。
Today wasn’t the easiest day, but that seems to be the case on Sprint Saturdays. I apologise to the team for the track limit violation and my radio communication in SQ1. We didn’t maximise the performance during the Sprint Shootout, so I’m pretty frustrated. As for the Sprint race, the first lap was difficult, especially with the wind, but we focused on collecting data, taking care of the car, and bringing it home. We learned a lot of things for tomorrow, and we’re starting close to the points, so we’ll refocus and try to extract the most out of the car. Track limits seem difficult, and tyre management will be tricky, but we have a couple of things in our back pocket, so hopefully, we can maximise on that and score points tomorrow.

決勝 予選11位 / 決勝15位
今日はシンガポールGPのときよりも暑く感じて、チャレンジングなレースになりました。スタートはうまくいって、ポイント圏内までポジションを上げることができました。マシンのバランスもよく、手応えはあったのですが、速さが足りずペースを保てませんでした。簡単には解決できないかもしれませんが、チームと一緒にデータの解析に努め、今後に向けて改善していけると信じています。ローソン選手とともに戦うのは今シーズン最後になると思いますが、彼のすばらしい活躍にとても感謝しています。チームメートとして、そして友人としても楽しい時間を一緒に過ごすことができました。
Today was tough and felt hotter than Singapore, so it was definitely a challenging race. My start was good and smooth, I made up places and was in the points. It felt ok inside the car and the balance was also good, but we were just too slow and couldn’t keep up the pace. It’s not easy to find a quick solution, but I’m confident that together with the team, we’ll look through the data and see how we can improve for the future. I think Liam might not be driving for us in Austin, so I want to say thank you to him because he did a very good job. I enjoyed the time together as good friends and teammates.
