予選後
今日はいい予選になったと思いますし、8番グリッドという結果はうれしいです。Q1でソフトタイヤを1セット多く使わざるを得ず、Q3で使う新品が少なくなったことは不運でしたが、今日の内容にはとても満足しています。レースではオーバーテイクが難しいと考えているので、スタートかカギになりますが、ここでは全員にとって初めてのレースとなり、条件が同じというのはポジティブに感じています。今夜は可能な限りの準備をして、明日どうなるか見ていきます。
I think today was a good Qualifying and I’m happy that I will be starting from P8 tomorrow. It was unfortunate that I had to sacrifice an additional set of Softs to get through Q1, which meant I didn’t have them for Q3, but I’m still really pleased with how today went. We think it’s going to be difficult to overtake in the race, so the start will be key, but the positive is that we’re all in the same position, as no one has driven here before. We’ll prepare for this as well as we can tonight, and we’ll see what happens tomorrow.
決勝後
とてもタフなレースで、特に第1スティントのソフトタイヤではかなり苦戦しました。レースウイーク中はずっとペースがよかったので、予想外の展開でしたが、今日のレースでは大きく落ちてしまったので、データを確認してなぜこうなったのかを分析しています。アルピーヌがとてもいいレースをしただけに本当に残念ですが、残り2戦で強さを取り戻す必要があります。
That was a particularly tough race, I struggled a lot on the soft tyre, especially in the first stint. We really weren’t expecting that, as overall this week we’ve had really good pace, but today in the race it really dropped off, so we’ve got to look at the data and figure out why that was. It’s a real shame, as Alpine had a very strong race today, so we need a strong comeback for the last two races.
